I hope you’re all enjoying the Feelin’ Feminine Challenge. Be sure to check out Miss Esther’s blog and visit the sites of others taking the challenge. Lots of good ideas.

Today I wore a floor length jean skirt and a dark brown top. The skirt is one of my favourites and it’s really warm.

The picture above is sitting down. In the one above, I’m standing up so you can see how long the skirt is. That’s my family’s dog, Balou (like from “The Jungle Book”), beside me.

For my hairstyle, I pulled my hair sort of half up with this really neat hair accessory my mom gave me. It’s basically two hair combs attached to each other by some beaded elastics (the part you can see). I just pulled the front of my hair on either side back with that.

That is what I wore today.

Feelin’ Feminine is challenging ladies (young and old) to wear skirts or dresses for a whole week (seven days). A secondary part of the challenge is to wear a different hairstyle every day. The challenge is open both to those ladies who don’t wear skirts all the time and those who do. For more information, visit Feelin’ Feminine’s “The Challenge” page.

How do I participate?
Just pick a week to do it and take pictures of your dresses (on you!) and hairstyles every day, then upload them to your blog. If you want to do it now, Miss Esther is hosting the challenge from January 1 to January 7. (You don’t need to be doing it those exact dates, but around that time.) You can read my post about the Challenge at Feelin’ Femine and/or read more about it and link your blog up with others participating in the challenge at Miss Esther’s post at Unknown Artist.
Lisa’s Day 1
Today I wore a button-up black skirt with a light blue long-sleeved shirt and a white button-up long-sleeved shirt. Technically the white shirt is a sweater, but I don’t consider something that thin a sweater. The blue shirt is a little tight, but that’s because it’s new. I really love the material and shape of the skirt, but I’m not so fond of the buttons. It’s full enough that I can sew that edge up when I get around to it. Oh, and I’m wearing black socks (if you really cared to know).

It isn’t really something I’d wear outside during the winter, but it’s warm enough for days like today when I don’t plan on going out. I also just wore my hair in a simple ponytail.
