Feelin’ Feminine Challenge, Day 1

Feelin’ Feminine is challenging ladies (young and old) to wear skirts or dresses for a whole week (seven days). A secondary part of the challenge is to wear a different hairstyle every day. The challenge is open both to those ladies who don’t wear skirts all the time and those who do. For more information, visit Feelin’ Feminine’s “The Challenge” page.

Feelin' Feminine Challenge

How do I participate?

Just pick a week to do it and take pictures of your dresses (on you!) and hairstyles every day, then upload them to your blog. If you want to do it now, Miss Esther is hosting the challenge from January 1 to January 7. (You don’t need to be doing it those exact dates, but around that time.) You can read my post about the Challenge at Feelin’ Femine and/or read more about it and link your blog up with others participating in the challenge at Miss Esther’s post at Unknown Artist.

Lisa’s Day 1

Today I wore a button-up black skirt with a light blue long-sleeved shirt and a white button-up long-sleeved shirt. Technically the white shirt is a sweater, but I don’t consider something that thin a sweater. The blue shirt is a little tight, but that’s because it’s new. I really love the material and shape of the skirt, but I’m not so fond of the buttons. It’s full enough that I can sew that edge up when I get around to it. Oh, and I’m wearing black socks (if you really cared to know).

Feelin' Feminine Challenge Day 1

It isn’t really something I’d wear outside during the winter, but it’s warm enough for days like today when I don’t plan on going out. I also just wore my hair in a simple ponytail.

Very pretty outfit. I do plan on doing it, but I forgot that it started today, not to mention we had to clean and cook for Shabbat, which kind of makes one forget things. :) you know what I mean.

well, very pretty. I’ll have to shower and have Amanda get a photo of me tomorrow.

    shabbat shalom!

Thank you Rachel. I almost forgot too. I got a loft bed recently, and I spent all day going through my things and reorganizing them…
      Shabbat Shalom!

I love the length and colors. I understand about the thinness of the sweater. I have a sweater jacket that I wear from time to time , its more of a cover because it is so thin but I enjoy it much. Thank you for sharing today :)

Thank you. I have lots of “normal” sweaters too… that one just doesn’t really count (maybe if you’re wearing a short sleeved shirt in the summer though?)

Sweet! Love the blue and white….so pretty! And, yay! I’m not the only one that did a pony tail…hair do’s are seriously one of the hardest parts of the challenge for me! =D

Thank you. Finding “unique” hairstyles can definitely be a challenge.

      Thank you.

I like the buttons on the skirt. It looks like it could be a jean skirt. My favourite skirts are my black ones. They go with everything.
    Cute about the sweater!

The buttons look fine in the picture, but they look sort of different in real life… and one near the top already fell off (it’s covered by the skirt…).

      Thank you Mrs Dixon.
      Shabbat Shalom!

      Thank you Miss Jocelyn.
